his keep isn't interrupted with thoughts of flora, he's busy with his work, returning to London he attends an opera throughout the 2nd act, he appearance a glass for the folks within the boxes and there's flora because we are part of a box off in the side by herself, looking additional stunning than ever, she grabs her ivory glass and seems to seem for the artist and smile, he's excited and rushes purpose is to visit her in her box, coming in she hears him and turns and says oh “here you can once more !” she offers her hand and he kisses it, other then she abruptly pulls back by having challenging stare, she grabs his arm and feels him and suddenly he is aware of, she's fully blind, she thought he was somebody else, somebody while not a Moustache ; he tells her “you’re lovelier at this day than you've got ever been within your life. ” Dawling comes directly into box and she exclaims to him what she has barely heard due to artist, its all she cares about, her beauty, the comment makes her day that she has not lost her appearance, forget being blind. Dawling is embarrassed and says terribly very little in regards out to the affair. Meldrum helped them get along, other then she refuses to speak of them or have something to carry out at their side. 

            Thus Dawling gets his girl and flora retains her beauty, going blind within the method. it's true love for each, along with the irony that as flora can't see the physical features of Dawling its ok to settle for marriage, and she ran from choices. Dawling has undying love for flora and proves it by accepting the very fact that he was her last alternative.
